10th Anniversary of「Spice and Wolf」: Sequel Announced

February 10th marks the anniversary of Spice and Wolf. Isuna Hasekura, the author of the Spice and Wolf light novels, announced a sequel is to be published starting in the April 9th Dengeki Bunko Magazine volume 49.

Spice & Wolf author Isuna Hasekura, is a guest of honor at AOD in Santa Clara this weekend. (Feb. 13th – 14th 2016)

X Japan Goes on Temporary Hiatus After Pata’s Hospitalization

YOSHIKI: “My heart is so full of sadness. I cannot put it into words, and I apologize for making fans worry. They say the ‘show must go on,’ but right now, all I can do is watch over Pata’s condition.”

The March 12th concert at London’s Wembley Arena is postponed till next year. The new album release date is also postponed. Additional details reported on the Oricon site can be read here in Japanese.

Tetsuya Mizuguchi revisits Rez at GDC 2016

Mizuguchi’s life work has revolved around activating our imaginations and elevating human consciousness through various forms of media, including music video games, live performances and music itself.

Tetsuya Mizuguchi returns to the Game Developers Conference 2016, this time he will be discussing one of his most popular creations, Rez. Rez was originally released in 2001 on the Sega Dreamcast & Sony PS2. No doubt details of upcoming Rez Infinite will be shared with an eager GDC audience.

「Project Diva X」Celebrates Megurine Luka’s Birthday

The official Sega Project DIVA YouTube channel just posted a video celebrating Megurine Luka’s 7th birthday. Crypton Future Media first released Megurine Luka Vocaloid software in 2009.

The video features two songs that will be in the new Project DIVA X game. “Ai Dee” by Mitchie M and “Akahitoha” by Kurousa P (white Flame). Project DIVA X for PlayStation Vita will be released on March 24 and on PlayStation 4 this fall.
